photography ~~ escape

Books.

Music.

Movies.

Three simple ways I enjoy an “escape”.  Not only is it cheap but I can do it all from the best seat on the “plane”.

How do you like to “escape”?

Check out the other photos at the Daily Post.   And, as always, have a beautiful weekend!

  1. I escape into my Nook, listening to the birds in the back yard (when the weather cooperates) and in my car with EG Kight turned up real loud – singing along and getting some good harmony every now and then.

  4. I read somewhere that Helen Keller was such an avid reader that she read Braille until her finger tips were bloody. I remember thinking that if I read Braille I would likely do the same. When I watch movies, I don’t just watch; I practically move into them. Woe unto the person who tries to talk to me when I’m so absorbed. Sewing and needlework absorb my attention so well that the hours evaporate without my noticing. Lovely chair and ottoman you have there.

  8. Clever and appropriate. Books (and tea) are my escape of choice when I can’t be in the mountains (which is most of the year.) I enjoy movies, but not nearly as much as books. 🙂 Well done.

  9. Who wouldn’t be happy sitting there with a good book? I love the colour of your bookcases – beautiful. You know the only thing missing is a glass of something from the vine and some cheese! I love going for a walk on the beach with my pup or lying in bed absorbed in a good crime novel.

  10. Love this. We all need a place of refuge in this crazy world. How sad is it that I don’t have this! I’m going to carve out a space for myself somewhere…. Love your chair!

    • Good eye! Yes, that lighthouse is called “Big Red” and it is located in Holland, MI. One of my all time favorites. My next favorite is Portland Head in Maine. : )
