A DAY IN MY LIFE

Saturday, March 30

This was the look of my room when the alarm went off

001

so I found it necessary to lie in bed a few more minutes until more light appeared.

002

Dang it!  My beauty sleep didn’t work…again.  Frownies are still there.

004

The white basin …awaiting my phlegm (really, was this challenge such a good idea?  TMI, right?)

007

Good Morning, Buddy!

008

Waiting for the coffee….

010

….so let’s make the bed….

011

…and snuggle with the dog….

012

…..and watch the dog flop around….

013

014

…FINALLY.  Savoring the moment.

015

Off to do errands.  First stop, 50% off sale at Goodwill (yes, this is an errand).

017

Picking up Mary Kay order at the best coffee shop in town.

018

Drop off invitation to my Origami Owl show for Ms. M at Montage.

019

Since we are so near, we stop at Springrove Variety so Rockefeller can get his “cookies” from Lynn.

020

025

Back at home to check out the Goodwill haul (most of this is for other people and my store).

026

The only green I have seen in months.

031

Later it’s time to head out for a party.  On the way I took some snaps.

This was my favorite house on my Elementary School bus route.  My friend Heather lived here.

035

This is where I lived in the 1970s.  Let me tell you,  it was waaaay cuter when we had it.  The green awnings and beautiful trees are all gone.

036

The land of farms.

034

This cute little town may have over-killed on the banner flags.  “Feel the Zeel”…yes, we get it.

037

Party on!

042

More green.

038

Speaking of green…do you ever feel like you just aren’t doing enough for the environment?  Suddenly I do.

045

Time to go home.  First, a stop at the Trestle Bridge park.

048

054

Yay!  Mom’s back (and Master)!!

057

Finally home.  Time to “wine-d” down.

060

Good night!

Many, many other “days” have been lived on WordPress.  Go check them out!

  1. Heather, I loved your post. A beautiful journey through your daily life, discovering magnificent aspects of American life that I admire. I always love your people, I think you live in a beautiful place and you have a very nice life. I love to meet you.

  4. Great post, I’ve been thinking about doing something similar. That Goodwill store looks huge, our charity shops tend to be small single shop units in the cheaper parts of town (shop rent-wise) and you always seem to find great things. I love your old house, it looks typically American to me.

  5. Holy cow! That was a long day. I have a tip for you (from my mom) about those frownies: a bit of Scotch tape between the eyebrows will remind you not to frown. Make sure you take it off when you leave the house. Don’t ask me how I know.

  6. Thanks for sharing your day with me ….. lovely photos … and I love those two cream colored evening dresses … very classy with the lace, something I would wear. You have so much or little as I have of green at the moment.
    Wonderful post. Thanks Heather.
